Curious Octopus

Hi there!  I'm Kate Spinks Dean and I am a busy mum with a passion for all things arty, crafty and creative.  We all know that doing something creative is good for you, but do you know what to do? How to do it? Where to get the equipment from? And if you get that far, when will you find the time?

 

"Wouldn't it be great if someone just sent us a box of everything we need and then booked a time for us to do it?" said a friend of mine one day and it got me thinking ...  

 

What if I provide a box containing a different creative project every month with everything you need included, and step-by-step instructions? 

 

"Like speed dating but for creativity!"

 

What a great idea! And this is where Curious Octopus began, taking away the thinking time and making it easy peasy, lemon squeezy to do something creative that you're super proud of every month.

But then what I noticed is that even if people want to do something creative they very often don't prioritise the time to do it!  I don't want to just sell craft kits, I want to offer some accountability!  I mulled this over and decided I could provide a live, online craft night where we all make our creative projects together!
